Apps Associates is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead technology implementation projects with significant Oracle HCM Cloud footprint. You will drive cross-functional delivery with onshore/offshore teams, define project scope, and manage budgets and timelines.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of consulting experience and proven success in multiple full life-cycle implementations, including Oracle HCM Cloud modules such as Core HR and Payroll. Travel up to 75% may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS or equivalent with focus in business or IS; 12+ years if no bachelor.
• 8+ years of consulting experience; senior or manager level.
• Led at least six full life-cycle implementations as PM.
• Led at least three Oracle HCM Cloud implementations with Core HR, Payroll, etc.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across teams.

Job Description

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing medium to large sized technology implementation projects with medium to high complexity (preferably on a global scale) and/or with multi-technology components. This role specifically supports engagements with a significant Oracle HCM Cloud footprint, so candidates should bring deep, hands-on Oracle HCM Cloud project management experience. This individual will also be responsible for working closely with the Apps Associates’ PMO on internal initiatives to grow the Practice. This position reports to the Practice Director or a Managing Principle within the Apps Associates PMO.

Job Duties

• Collaborate with client contacts managing cross-functional client project team members to facilitate project delivery
• Collaborate with Apps Associates project team members, who are both onshore and offshore, to successfully deliver projects
• Manage the execution of the project's activities and resources in partnership with the division technical leads and business partners
• Lead project teams through scoping definition and ensure all execution efforts align to project goals
• Lead the establishment of measurable and achievable critical success factors for the project
• Control planning and execution to ensure that cost, time, and quality goals are met
• Develop and maintain project plans and related project artifacts
• Provide view of plans and progress to date
• Manage against the approved budget and recommend course correction as necessary.
• Conduct periodic stakeholder meetings to ensure status clarity and clear expectations
• Adhere to the Apps Associates project management methodology
• Possesses the ability to turn troubled projects around when and if needed
• Make continuous improvement a priority - The Senior Project Manager should have a solid grasp of basic and many advanced project management principles, along with having experience in successfully applying and advancing those principles.

Travel Requirements

• Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% if needed

Work Requirements

• Remote work approved with on-site/customer facing work required periodically depending on project phase and/or customer requirements
• For remote work, associate must have a dedicated space to conduct/attend meetings and perform job duties

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 20 years) work experience. If Associates Degree, must have minimum 12 years work experience. (focus in Business Administration or Information Systems preferred)
• 8+ years of consulting experience, most recently in a Senior Consultant, Manager, or similar level role
• Leadership of a minimum of six (6) full life-cycle implementations in the Project Manager role
• Required: Leadership of a minimum of three (3) of the above as full life-cycle Oracle HCM Cloud implementations in the Project Manager role, with exposure to modules such as Core HR, Payroll, Talent Management, Absence Management, Recruiting, and Compensation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management, organization, and collaboration skills
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet (preferred)
• Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of business productivity tools (for example: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, One Note, Teams)
• Strong understanding of the cloud software development lifecycle including waterfall, agile and hybrid methodologies.

Project Management/Technology Experience Requirements

Oracle HCM Cloud Project Management experience is required. In addition, the Senior Project Manager must have project management and/or hands on experience with at least one (1) of the following technologies (Oracle HCM Cloud may count as one):

• Oracle HCM Cloud (required) – including modules such as Core HR, Payroll, Talent Management, Absence Management, and Compensation;
• PeopleSoft HCM
• Workday

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP Certification (PMP, PGMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP)
