Job summary

Michels Underground Cable, Inc. in Billings, MT seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead key phases of large underground construction projects, from proposal through profitable completion with a strong focus on safety.

You will manage MV duct banks, substation feeds, underground transmission and campus distribution systems for data centers, delivering on-time, within budget and to client expectations while coordinating cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with MV duct banks, substation feeds, underground transmission, or campus distribution systems for data centers.
• Experience with Project Management software (Primavera, HCSS, etc.).
• Must possess a valid driver license and acceptable driving record; ability to travel for long-term onsite projects.

• Ensure the project meets client expectations and is profitable with emphasis on safety.

Senior Project Manager

Position Summary

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a phase of a large complex project or manage multiple large sized projects. This position is accountable for all aspects of a projects success from the initial proposal/bidding process, to meet or exceed the clients’ expectations, to the profitable completion of the jobs, with a special emphasis on safety performance. It is essential to be reliable, self-motivated, goal oriented, organized and professional. Critical for success are excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the abilities to work well in teams and quickly make decisions. This role will support data center and mission critical projects while focusing on medium voltage (MV) duct banks, substation feeds, underground transmission, and campus distribution systems.

What It Takes

• 10+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working on medium voltage (MV) duct banks, substation feeds, underground transmission, or campus distribution systems for data centers
• Experience with Project Management software (Primavera, HCSS, etc.)
• Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team
• Ability to travel and commit to long term onsite projects
