Job summary

Michels Underground Cable, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager to lead planning, monitoring, and management of strategic projects from inception to completion.

The role secures resources, manages budgets and risk, and ensures profitability while guiding teams across MV duct banks, substations, and campus distribution systems. The ideal candidate brings extensive project management experience, strong communication skills, and a track record of leading complex infrastructure projects for data centers

• Experience with MV duct banks, substation feeds, underground transmission, or campus distribution systems for data center
• Experience with Project Management software (Primavera, HCSS, etc.)
• Ability to travel 50% to project sites across the US
• Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Senior Manager

Installing underground cables for power transmission, power distribution, renewable energy and communication networks is a necessary step in hardening the electrical grid, delivering reliable communication networks, and integrating renewable energy into our existing systems.

Position Summary

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for planning , monitoring , and managing strategic projects / programs fro m inception through completion . This position s ecures required resources, and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risk s, and changes and is responsible for project success and profitability within the region . Critical for success is the ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, and to maintain organization while providing direction and leadership. This role will support data center and mission critical projects while focusing on medium voltage (MV) duct banks, substation feeds, underground transmission, and campus distribution systems.

What It Takes

• 10+ years of related experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working on medium voltage (MV) duct banks, substation feeds, underground transmission, or campus distribution systems for data center
• Experiencewith Project Management software (Primavera, HCSS, etc.)
• Ability to travel 50% to project sites across the US
• Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record as determined by Michels review tea

Desired Qualifications

• Advanced licensing/certifications
