Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead MEP activities on-site, accountable for safety, financial performance, and the growth of the MEP team on complex projects.

You will guide the project team in MEP disciplines, coordinate with subcontractors, manage cost and progress reporting, procurement, and ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery while upholding McCarthy's core values and client commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering is required.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience with $50M+ or multiple projects in healthcare, commercial, laboratory, higher education, aviation, mission critical construction.
• Mechanical, electrical, plumbing experience is strongly desired.
• Advanced knowledge of MEP construction principles/practices is required.
• Experience dealing with subcontracts and subcontractors.
• Experience leading a successful project team and maintaining relationships with external entities.

Responsibilities

• Participate with Project Director and Estimating in development of a Project Chart of Accounts.
• Develop detailed Project Contract status report.
• Coordinate with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics plan.
• Maintain thorough understanding of the McCarthy/Owner contract.
• Oversee the pay request process.
• Monitor project costs and Job Cost Report.
• Analyze and forecast quarterly Total Cost Projection reports.
• Implement and monitor training of all staff personnel.
• Monitor project labor.
• Review and approve material and equipment needs.
• Assist Estimating in bidding projects.
• Implement applicable safety, EEO and Affirmitive Action programs.
• Lead the project’s quality process.
• Develop, schedule and lead project close-out processes.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, subcontractors and owners to represent McCarthy core values.
• Training and mentoring MEP team.
• Implement all applicable Safety Programs and EEO/Affirmative Action Programs.

Position Summary

The MEP Senior Project Manager is the primary leader in the field, and is directly accountable for the safety, financial performance, and the MEP team development on site. The MEP Senior Project Manager will lead the project team in the MEP portions of the project. This position is responsible for providing effective leadership to the MEP project staff and ensuring quality and timely completion of the project.
