The Senior Project Manager – MEP leads large, complex, or multiple construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, assembling and directing project management teams to deliver safe, on-time, and cost-effective outcomes. This role oversees budgeting, scheduling, design coordination, and the transition from estimate to construction while protecting the company's bid position and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Senior PM also owns P&L accountability for their area and contributes to mid-term operational planning and process improvements.
Day-to-day responsibilities include developing tactical and operational plans, managing project finances and commercial agreements, and driving quality and safety programs on site. The role requires proactive risk and opportunity management, close collaboration with preconstruction and design teams, and constant monitoring of subcontractor performance to meet schedule and quality expectations. Strong communication and influence are essential, as the Senior PM negotiates contracts, resolves complex cross-functional problems, and maintains client relationships to support current projects and future business development.
