Job Summary:

Intercontinental Exchange is currently seeking an experienced and talented Senior Project Manager to be part of the Operations and Infrastructure Group. This individual will work directly with global engineering and operations leads to ensure the successful completion of technology infrastructure projects and drive change within the team.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, and execute delivery of large technology infrastructure projects; accountable for the timeliness and quality of delivery for a cross-section of projects

• Creating scope, clarifying requirements and working with teams to define project schedules. Often in ambiguous environments; this role will need to work with affected teams to understand requirements and options methods for delivery where the tasks are non-routine

• Quickly understand architecture for desired end solution and break down delivery into logical milestones, phases and steps; confirming strategy to delivery is clear and understood

• Develop project work plans specifying goals, team resource allocation, scheduling, risks; managing dependencies and contingency plans.

• Facilitate communication across multiple functional groups, technology (development), Engineering & Ops teams, vendors, and procurement for the efficient delivery of projects

• Work with internal and external customers to manage, set and communicate delivery expectations

• Facilitate regular project status meetings, capturing data in real time/on-screen; capturing and communicating clear ownership of actions

• Track project progress & management of risks, issues, decisions and dependencies; translating complex status and risks/issues into senior management reports

• Support PMO process documentations, stakeholder outcomes and objectives, and the value of project artifacts

• As an experienced member of the Operations PM team, this position will also assist in developing support tools and knowledge-bases for effective project delivery at ICE as well as coaching more junior team members.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science or Engineering degrees preferred)

• 5+ years' work experience with at least 4 years of specialized project management in technology platforms.

• Proven experience delivering a variety of complex and highly visible, high-pressure projects in fast moving and matrix environment

• Hands on technical experience and solid understanding of datacenter technologies and associated tools (Networks, Linux, Windows compute, storage, ci/cd). Understanding of cloud engineering is a benefit

• Proven experience proactively identifying risks before they impact timelines and can quickly understand the root of problem and issues to drive fast and consensus resolution

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, able to translate technical details into project and business impacts

• Strong project management skills (time and organization); can quickly and effectively use tools to guide tasks of team and follow up on progress (one-note, PPM tool(s), sharepoint, service now)

• Ability to apply standardized project control mechanisms such as planning and project progress tracking / control, estimating, logic analysis, resource planning and allocation, issue and risk management.

• Ability to self-start effectively with ambiguity and varying levels of detail; finding ways to self-serve on project updates and information through engineering & operations tools.

Preferred:

• Financial industry experience, especially in regulated markets, is a plus
