ASSYST is seeking a qualified SeniorProject Manager to assist with the management, communication and coordination of all Public Safety projects and Public Safety day to day operations of our client in Baltimore, Maryland.
This Senior PM will have experience working with the Public Safety and will have a PMI PMP certification.
Job Location: Towson, Maryland
Responsibilities:
- Performs day‐to‐day management of the project, identifies issues and risks and recommends possible issue and risk mitigation strategies associated with the project.
- Ensures that work performed is within scope, consistent with requirements, and delivered on time and on budget.
- Identifies critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, and acceptance criteria. Provides solutions to improve efficiency (e.g., reduce costs while maintaining or improving performance levels).
- Monitors issues and provides resolutions for up‐to‐date status reports.
- Develops meeting agenda and meeting handouts.
Requirements:- Bachelor's Degree or Masters Degree with a minimum seven (7) years of successful Project Management experience managing large, high profile and sensitive projects
- Must currently possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program, Portfolio, or Agile management certificate from the Project Management Institute.
- Previous experience managing business process implementations, software and/or hardware implementation and upgrade projects using Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies.
- Experience creating and managing project documentation as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
- Experience in creating and managing project deliverables and documents (SDLC and PMI).
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Project, Excel, Word)
- Experience with Executive level presentations and communication
- Exceptional organization and coordination skills
Preferred Skills- Experience managing projects using Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint
- Previous experience working in a government entity (Federal, State or Local)
- Experience with development, management, communication and support of public safety systems
