Job summary

Mace is hiring for a project management professional to oversee medium-sized initiatives, coordinating design teams, procurement, and client relations. The role requires strong communication, budgeting, and risk management capabilities to deliver projects on time and within scope.

You'll work with client teams, design consultants, and contractors to ensure successful outcomes, adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements while driving value across portfolios.

Qualifications

• Proven successful experience in project management, managing medium sized projects.
• Developed communication, presentation and project planning and development skills.
• Developed budgetary oversight expertise.
• Advanced proficiency in communicating, coordinating activities and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Proven understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
• Display strong communication and negotiation skills to support the client/customer focus.
• Proactively manage internal budgets and fees, delivering agreed outcomes.
• Proven competency that understands construction methodologies and sequencing.
• Developed bidding skills.
• Proficient knowledge and expertise in specific sector / market of project/role.
• Relevant technical qualification/certification for project portfolio/s.
• Sound technical expertise in Health and Safety Executive (HSE) rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of consultancy, construction, infrastructure and property sectors/markets and an understanding of estimating, scheduling, contracts administration, procurement, and reporting.
• Substantial previous experience in a project management role on medium sized or complex projects, or leading smaller projects.
• Experience in the construction delivery phase of projects.

Responsibilities

• Determines and arranges project management, technical services and external resources required for the project on an individual and team basis on behalf of client organisation.
• Collaborates with the team and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the project and communicates strategies to the team.
• Procures and manages design and wider consultant team and stakeholders to ensure completion of responsibilities including scope, fees, claims, deliverables and variations.
• Produces design and authorities programme integrated with procurement and delivery programme.
• Manages timely delivery to programme from inception to construction phase and is accountable for project scope.
• Delivers project objectives in line with the Project Execution Plan and KPIs.
• Prepares and updates project plans throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversees timeframes and budgets, highlighting risks and mitigations.
• Leads and records meetings with contextual information and analysis.
• Partners with stakeholders in risk management and mitigation.
• Responsible for approved handover documentation prior to practical completion.
• Promotes the business priorities through Construction to Production, Digital & Data and Responsible Business.
