Job summary

Ameritas is seeking a Project Manager III to lead project teams, applying project management and agile practices to deliver defined outcomes and value. The role supports cross-functional collaboration across Lincoln, NE and Cincinnati, OH with a hybrid in-office/remote setup.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), 3-5+ years of PM experience, and relevant certifications (PMP / PMI-ACP) are useful; MBA is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 3-5+ years of relevant project management related experience required.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, or other similar project management certifications are useful.
• Previous management consulting or external consulting experience desired.
• MBA or similar advanced degree desired.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with sponsors to understand project strategic alignment and defined objectives.
• Coordinate cross functional teams to create project plan and schedule; facilitation of Agile practices.
• Develop project cost estimates and secure funding with sponsor buy-in.
• Monitor plans, schedules, costs, resources; report variances to plan.
• Ensure stakeholders understand changes to business processes and provide training.
• Establish review/approval processes for deliverables; manage risks and issues.
• Evaluate changes for impact on scope/cost/quality/schedule; propose alternatives.
• Implement approved changes and integrate into project baseline.
• Identify variances causes and document lessons learned for improvements.
• Ensure MAR control docs and approvals are stored for audit.
