Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams across multiple sites, directing product development programs from concept to launch. You will communicate progress, align with customer requirements, and manage resources, schedules, and budgets to meet market needs.

You will apply DFM principles, collaborate with suppliers, and drive risk reduction while ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery for high-speed interconnect products.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from a four-year university.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical product drawings.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information to management and respond to questions from various levels of management.
• Ability to manage customer communication and expectations.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization and interpret various instructions.
• Should have knowledge of Project Management software, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate and relate with project teams across regions.
• Demonstrated ability to operate with minimal supervision and provide status updates.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project and project team, contribute to scope and objectives, and ensure completion of all steps.
• Provide communication interface to customers for status, schedule, requirements, etc.
• Provide technical leadership to project teams across multiple sites during product development.
• Schedule and manage internal team meetings to address actions and keep projects on schedule.
• Manage internal and external suppliers to ensure on-time completion of actions.
• Communicate resource requirements to management to keep projects on schedule.
• Define product specifications and project scope aligned with market and customer needs.
• Ensure capacity planning and financial objectives, including project costing and scope control.
• Make decisions to speed time-to-market, time-to-volume, and profitability.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability principles during development.
• Provide updates to management on project status and risks.
• Ensure systems are set up for ordering and manufacturing of products.
• Develop risk mitigation and alternatives to maintain project objectives.
