Sr. Project Manager - Interoperability
This role assumes comprehensive oversight of healthcare projects, encompassing the leadership of teams in the development, operations, and maintenance of large-scale health information technology systems. With a background in Health Information Technology (HIT) and Health Information Exchange (HIE), along with experience in industry and Federal data standards, the role aligns seamlessly with different project methodologies.
Requirements
Responsibilities include analyzing complex project challenges and developing innovative solutions, managing schedules, integrating technology, applying methodologies, and overseeing financial aspects. Specializing in interoperability, the role extends to integrating healthcare applications, ensuring compliance with ONC Health IT certification standards, and demonstrating expertise in health data models such as HL7, CCDA, FHIR, and IHE. Requires experience with master person index, health information exchanges, Direct messaging, and implementing Electronic Health Records (EHR). Requires staying current with healthcare regulations, including policy, privacy, and IT regulations. The role requires technical skills and experience with healthcare interoperability standards, a solid understanding of HIPAA and data practices, experience in online authentication and authorization methods, electronic patient/member consent, and the ability to gather requirements across the organization. The role involves managing program/project dependencies, establishing timelines and milestones, and effectively communicating plans, updates, and progress.
Minimum Qualification Requirement:
Commensurate experience and education for the specific level. Requires PMI-PBA or equivalent and 10 years (minimum) experience level in managing Health Information Technology projects including health IT components like Master Patient Index, Health Information Exchange, Terminology Standards, and Interoperability. Experience in the implementation of HHS Office of National Coordinator for
Health IT regulations and guidelines. Requires Project Management Professional certification.
Required Degrees: Master's degree in business, data management, finance, computer science or related field.
Security Clearence
Active clearance preferred. Ability to acquire and maintain Public Trust clearance.
Salary Description
