Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a Sr Project Manager in Florida to lead complex civil engineering projects, guide project teams, and drive client relations. The role emphasizes construction administration, QA/QC oversight, and strategic development of new business opportunities.

The incumbent will mentor staff, manage budgets and schedules, and present technical results to clients and public meetings, with a $20,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineering License required.
• Minimum of 10 years of specialized experience in Drinking Water Utilities, Pump Stations, Water Quality, and Treatment.
• Experience with local clients and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct teams of technical staff and Project Managers on multiple complex projects.
• Lead construction administration tasks including submittals, meeting minutes, and payment applications.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers and staff through training and guidance.
• Consult on technical issues and perform QA/QC reviews on projects.
• Identify risks and participate in insurance training to minimize liability.
• Oversee project technical accuracy through regular communication and reviews of plans and calculations.
• Make technical presentations to clients and at public meetings.
• Lead projects from development to completion with schedules, scopes, budgets, and QA/QC.
• Act as a Public Relations Ambassador to present the firm's capabilities.
• Solicit new clients/projects and contribute to proposals and cross-selling.
• Prepare contracts and negotiate fees for new projects.
