Are you an experienced project manager looking to advance your career? Miller Electric Company seeks a Senior Project Manager for Facility Solutions. This client-facing role reports directly to the Director and VP, requiring strong relationship-building skills and a focus on infrastructure maintenance programs. You will have opportunities for hands-on leadership, strategic planning, and technical training.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure full utilization of tools to follow policies and procedures, providing quality control and operational excellence.
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to ensure successful deployment of maintenance initiatives.
- Assist in deploying Miller Electric Facility Solutions initiatives in the Atlanta area.
- Lead project walk-throughs supporting pricing, auditing, and maintenance activities.
- Generate estimates and prepare project proposals, establishing work plans, resource needs, and funding limits.
- Oversee projects through on-site supervision, ensuring adherence to design, budget, and schedule.
- Build long-term relationships with clients and employees through consistent performance and innovative solutions.
- Create and manage Change Management Forms and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
- Cultivate opportunities for expanding maintenance and NFPA 70B initiatives, and identify new opportunities.
- Interface with customers to ensure expectations are met before, during, and after project completion.
- Coordinate activities of personnel and subcontractors on projects.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives, including RCAs, SOPs, ERPs, and incident reporting.
- Manage billing and collections processes.
- Conduct frequent site visits to monitor progress and address issues.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
- Exceed client and team expectations through innovative solutions.
- Locate end-user driver solutions.
- Provide feedback and reports to stakeholders.
- Manage project reviews with emphasis on financial forecasting.
- Mentor team members and support their development.
- Continuously update professional knowledge and skills.
- Lead site safety and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
- Participate in industry events and community activities.
Education & Experience:
Required:
- Significant electrical project management experience.
- Experience with process-based work structures and critical thinking.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70B and NFPA 70E standards.
- Understanding of electrical installations and preventive maintenance.
- Minimum 5 years project management experience.
- Management experience in electrical operations and maintenance.
- Maintenance index planning experience.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Strong computer skills.
- Good billing and collections understanding.
- Excellent communication skills.
- 30-Hour OSHA Certification within the first year.
Preferred:
- Estimating and maintenance tracking software experience.
- Contract management and hands-on maintenance experience.
- Electrical quality assurance experience.
- College degree or licenses such as journeyman or master electrician.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Project, and takeoff tools.
