As a key member of our team, you’ll collaborate closely with our Practice Line Leader and the Environmental Assessment and Remediation team. Your role is about shaping the future, driving innovation, and making a positive environmental impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Way: Manage Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, PEAs, RAWs, RAPs, Remedial Design, Remedial Technology Implementation (e.g., dual-phase extraction, chemical injections, air-sparging), Risk Assessments, and other environmental documentation.
- Craft Solutions: Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and schedules to execute environmental projects effectively.
- Build Relationships: Develop strong connections with clients and regulatory agencies through excellent communication.
- Drive Projects: Oversee subsurface investigations and remediation projects, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.
- Ensure Excellence: Provide peer reviews on deliverables to maintain high standards.
- Mentor & Inspire: Share knowledge by training and mentoring team members for their growth and success.
Qualifications
- Educational Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with relevant professional registration (e.g., California PE).
- Experience: Minimum 8 years in environmental subsurface investigation, with 5+ years in project management, supervision, and client interaction.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Skills: Strong technical writing, communication, presentation, and time management skills.
- Technical Ability: Design field sampling, remedial plans, manage subcontractors, interpret data.
- Client Focus: Proven ability to deliver quality services and attract new business.
- Advocacy: Proactive in liaising with regulatory agencies on behalf of clients.
- Teamwork: Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Attention to Detail: Precise with budgets and schedules.
- Safety: Compliant with health and safety policies, OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, valid driver’s license, background check, drug test.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to Travel: Available for regional travel.
