Job summary

Eichleay is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Engineering & Capital Projects to lead engineering and procurement projects for North America’s industrial clients, reporting to the Program Manager.

This role manages projects from proposal development through execution and closeout, collaborating with client teams in a culture of technical excellence, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving.

Hybrid work arrangement in Ferndale, WA, with occasional travel to refinery sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years related experience with 4+ years PM in heavy industrial projects.
• Experience leading EPC/EPCM industrial capital projects preferred.
• Experience supporting refining projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital engineering and procurement projects up to $60M TIC from proposal through closeout.
• Foster collaborative relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Prepare engineering project proposals for new projects or the next phase.
• Lead meetings with clients, contractors, and internal staff.
• Review and approve client invoices prior to submittal.

Core Responsibilities:

• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance with zero harm and zero incidents.
• Lead and manage small to mid-size capital engineering & procurement projects (up to $60M TIC) from proposal through closeout, including fabrication and construction management. This includes establishing and executing projects that comply with the contract terms.
• Establish andmaintaincollaborative relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams; foster positive client engagement and clear decision-making.
• Prepare engineering project proposals for new projects or the next phase of a project.

• Frequent travel to nearby refinerysiteasrequired.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Accredited four-year Bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical field from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
  • A minimum of eight (8) years related experience with a minimum of four (4) years project management experience in heavy industrial, complex engineering projects,
  • Experience leading EPC/EPCM industrial capital projects is highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting refining projects is highly preferred.
• Skills:
• Advanced understanding of capital project delivery and execution across all project phases, including FEL, detailed design, and construction support.
• Strong command of project controls, including scheduling, planning, estimating, cost management, forecasting, and change management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex workstreams in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders.
• Highly detail-oriented with demonstrated accountability and consistent follow-through on commitments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively in client-facing, onsite environments.
• In-depth understanding and application of phase-gate project delivery processes, including project funding and approval frameworks.
• Travel: Travel outside the area is expected to be minimal, less than 15%
• Industry Requirements: This role will require all or some of the following requirements at time of hire or during employment
  • HHFT Safety Training and current card or ability to obtain.
  • Client Safety Training and current badge or ability to obtain.
  • TWIC Certification and current card or ability to obtain. TWICcardmust be obtained prior to start date or start date may need to be adjusted.
  • Background screening includingpreviousemployment, education, criminal history, and driving record verification.
  • Participation in random drug and alcohol programs.
