Job summary

Fuel Tech Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead mid-to-high level capital projects ($5MM-$10MM). The role requires strong engineering background and hands-on management of design, procurement, fabrication, installation and start-up of air pollution control projects. Travel and field work are possible.

The successful candidate will coordinate multiple teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while driving project success.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• Master’s degree or PM certification is desirable.
• Experience with OFA, SNCR and SCR is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly reviews and becomes familiar with all project contracts and supporting documents to determine scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, risks and resource requirements.
• Prepares and maintains the project scope, schedule, budget, project files and ensures compliance with specifications and business needs.
• Oversees project details including design, drawings, change orders, purchase orders, equipment shipping, fabrication, testing, startup and optimization.
• Coordinates the project team, which may include Sales, process engineers, project engineers, technicians, electrical/instruments/controls engineer, field start-up team, vendors and consultants, and the client.
• Make field visits as required to observe work, review progress, resolve issues and attend project meetings; may be assigned to support power plant outages with extended hours.
