Progressive Companies in Detroit seeks a Project Manager II to lead multidisciplinary teams and build strong client relationships while delivering projects that meet our standards for quality, budget, and schedule. You will guide project execution from kickoff through closeout while promoting collaboration and accountability across teams.

You will also contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities with existing clients and mentoring emerging project leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, engineering, or related field.
• Typically 8+ years of experience managing projects in a design/AEC environment.
• Experience budgeting, schedules, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead up to five small projects or 1–2 moderate programs, coordinating teams to meet scope, schedule and budget.
• Serve as primary client liaison, balancing expectations with project goals and standards.
• Manage startup activities: budgets, schedules, kickoff alignments.
• Assist in proposals, contracts, and consultant coordination for delivery.
• Monitor financial performance, control scope changes, identify risks to profitability.
• Oversee QA/QC milestones ensuring deliverables meet standards and regulations.
• Mentor team members and emerging managers, supporting risk management and design quality.
