Data Workstream Project Manager
The Data Workstream Project Manager will lead the data pillar of the Transformation initiative within a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment. This role requires comprehensive project management across data architecture, integrations, requirements, security, and multi-agency coordination. The focus is on ensuring precise alignment among internal teams, technical groups, vendors, and partner agencies.
The primary objective is to deliver all data workstream milestones with urgency and high quality—managing accelerated timelines, identifying risks proactively, enforcing accountability, and maintaining consistent project momentum.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Ticket Management
- Lead end-to-end project management for the data workstream with structured governance.
- Maintain a clear and accurate ticket tracker.
- Develop and manage project plans including milestones, timelines, and dependencies.
- Implement capacity planning and prioritization processes.
- Track all data-related requests and ensure timely resolution.
- Establish escalation paths for at-risk items.
- Lead weekly project management meetings to review priorities and blockers.
Requirements Management
- Manage full lifecycle of data requirements from elicitation to deployment.
- Ensure strict traceability across specifications, design, testing, and release.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify business logic, data flows, and architecture needs.
- Manage requirement changes and evaluate impacts to scope and timelines.
- Coordinate with SMEs on data lake setup, architecture, metadata, and pipelines.
- Oversee integration of legacy systems and historical data.
- Ensure ETL and interoperability meet standards.
- Identify and escalate gaps or integration risks.
- Serve as the primary liaison across internal teams, vendors, and partner agencies.
- Manage transformation rules, dependencies, and test progress.
- Support alignment across cross‑functional workstreams.
Security & Environment Management
- Oversee testing across all environments and ensure issue resolution.
- Validate adherence to security and access control policies.
- Support data integrity, transformation, and performance testing cycles.
- Proactively document and elevate risks and environment readiness issues.
- Provide decision‑support analysis for leadership.
- Maintain documentation and controls required for audits.
Success Criteria
- Clear and forward‑looking project plans.

Qualifications
- 5–10+ years managing complex IT, data, or integration projects.
- Strong understanding of data lakes, cloud data ecosystems, and analytics.
- Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Excellent communication and executive reporting skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
