Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Project Manager III to oversee all aspects of complex projects, ensuring timely completion within budget. You will manage scope, cost, schedule, staffing, and external vendors, while preparing status reports for executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5 years required, 7 years preferred of directing work in a large-scale project management capacity.
• Experience with deployment and commissioning of liquid-cooled rack systems and supporting infrastructure (HVAC, heat exchangers, chillers, piping) is highly preferred.
• Understanding of business and management principles including strategic planning and resource allocation.
• Experience with managing people and processes to achieve objectives.
• Ability to build effective relationships across functions to support objectives.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies and prioritize tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages large and complex project development from beginning to end.
• Defines and refines project scope, goals and deliverables with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develops full-scale project plans and communication documents to identify timelines and dependencies.
• Sets and communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
• Liaises with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Estimates resources, participants, and vendors needed to achieve goals.
• Leads continuous improvement initiatives and develops staff in CI tools.
• Aligns activities with safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
• Performs root cause analyses and drives corrective action.
• Drafts and submits budget proposals and recommends budget changes.
