Job summary

ARCO is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead design/build projects in Kansas City, MO. You will oversee estimating, scheduling, and coordination with owners and design teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

The role offers mentorship to other Project Managers, a focus on value engineering, and a track record of delivering complex construction programs for general contractors.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management or related field with minimum 3.0 GPA.
• 8–10 years’ proven design/build experience with a general contractor.
• Estimation experience required.
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Manage all managerial and administrative aspects of a project including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, billing, design review and coordination.
• Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate.
• Collaborate with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings.
• Participate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review scope, reduce costs and provide value engineering ideas.
• Oversee the buyout process and selection of subcontractors.
• Conduct biweekly jobsite meetings and monitor progress.
• Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes.
• Incorporate customer input to improve and meet client expectations.
• Provide mentoring or oversight of Project Managers.

A Day in the Life:

• Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of a project including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation
• Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate
• Work closely with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings
• Participate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs and provide value engineering ideas
• Oversee the buyout process and the selection of subcontractors
• Conduct biweekly jobsite meetings
• Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes
• Use customer input to make improvements and meet/exceed internal and external client expectations
• Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and other associates while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding expectations
• Mentoring or oversight of Project Managers

Necessary Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required with a minimum 3.0 GPA
