Job summary

Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. in Grand Rapids is hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

You will manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and team coordination while ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. The role also involves mentoring project team members and collaborating with owners, architects, and engineers to resolve challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture (preferred).
• 10+ years of commercial construction experience leading complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of project financial management, contracts, and scheduling.
• Knowledge of construction means, methods, codes, and docs.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving with mentoring ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project delivery from preconstruction to closeout.
• Oversee budgets, pay apps, change orders, and financial reporting.
• Direct subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and contracts.
• Develop schedules with superintendents and preconstruction teams.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants.
• Enforce quality, safety, and contract compliance on site.
• Proactively identify risks and implement mitigations.
• Mentor Project Managers and team members to raise performance.
