Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. is seeking a Construction Management Intern in Grand Rapids, MI to gain hands-on experience across active commercial construction sites.

You will work with project managers, superintendents, and engineers to support field coordination, cost management, scheduling, and safety compliance. You will review drawings, assist with RFIs and submittals, and help track subcontractor progress while developing a solid foundation in industry practices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Co-op program enrollment acceptable.
• Interest in commercial construction industry.

Responsabilités

• Support superintendents with daily jobsite coordination, field activities, and project inspections.
• Participate in safety meetings, jobsite walks, and quality control processes.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Track and document subcontractor progress, performance, and milestones.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project management activities.
• Maintain organized project files and support compliance documentation requirements.
• Participate in project progress meetings and provide status updates.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs, subcontractor bid reviews, and budget tracking as assigned.
• Collaborate with project teams to support successful project execution from preconstruction through closeout.
• Gain hands-on experience across all phases of commercial construction projects alongside experienced professionals.
