Job summary

Jobtailor in Boise, Idaho seeks an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead project performance and deliver civil design documents. You will serve as the primary contact for clients and internal partners, and act as the technical lead for the project team.

With 10+ years in civil engineering and a P.E. license or eligibility in Idaho, you will manage scope, budget, and schedule across multiple projects and oversee invoicing and change orders. Local experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of civil engineering experience with project delivery.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed or eligible in Idaho.
  • Experience scoping, deliverables, scheduling, resourcing and budgeting.
  • Strong problem-solving for infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with permitting processes for design/construction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Local Idaho experience preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall project performance and implementation of project management frameworks.
  • Primary point of contact and representative to internal partners and clients.
  • Serve as the technical lead for the project team preparing civil engineering design documents.
  • Manage multiple projects with day-to-day oversight managing the approved scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Develop, track, update, forecast, and modify the project schedule and budget throughout all phases.
  • Communicate project status regularly with clients, project teams, and leadership.
  • Review and approve all invoices and change orders associated with the project.
  • Assist in developing new work opportunities and building client relationships.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience in Civil Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related degree
  • Registered or eligible to be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Idaho.
  • Understanding of project scoping, identification of deliverables, tasks, scheduling, resourcing, and project budgeting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills related to the delivery of infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of design and construction permitting/approval process and requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant design software (AutoCAD Civil3D, locally accepted hydrology and hydraulic programs, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and team oriented.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Local project resume and experience strongly preferred.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
