Job summary

Marker Construction in Columbus, Ohio seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will oversee schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating with clients, project teams, and field operations.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and leadership skills, with a focus on delivering quality work safely and on time. Proactive problem-solving and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial construction projects of varying sizes and complexities.
• Ability to read contracts, blueprints, and construction schedules.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required; LEED GA or AP preferred.
• Minimum 3 years as a Project Engineer or 5 years as a Project Superintendent with an associate degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Drive all aspects of assigned projects including planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and closeout.
• Lead collaborative project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, performance, and quality to ensure contract alignment.
• Develop scopes of work, subcontractor agreements, and purchase orders.
• Partner with Superintendents to ensure field execution aligns with plans and safety standards.
• Mentor project engineers and junior staff to support growth and performance.
• Identify and mitigate project risks with proactive solutions.
• Foster long-term client relationships and pursue future opportunities.
