Role Summary
The Senior Project Manager will provide overall direction and leadership, owning project outcomes for significantly complex projects and/or multiple projects. This position will fully implement and manage the operation, profitability, and administration of projects, supporting the strategy, vision, and values of JE Dunn.
- Autonomy & Decision Making: Makes decisions within defined limits of authority and consults senior management on other decisions.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
PROJECT MANAGEMENT FAMILY - CORE
- Leads all aspects of the company's safety culture, creating awareness and demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment. Investigates safety incidents and retrains staff as needed.
- Manages the JE Dunn prestart checklist form.
- Supports the preconstruction team, including quantity takeoff, trade coordination, scope of work development, review, bid package development, schedule development, bid list creation, and advertisement.
- Leads planning and implementation of buyout schedule, verifies pricing and scope, identifies successful bidders, and manages subcontract issuance.
- Manages the submittal schedule, reviews, and approves shop drawings and samples prior to submission.
- Ensures approved submittals are returned to subcontractors and available to the project team as per schedule and contract.
- Coordinates with Logistics for pricing on materials and equipment.
- Coordinates with risk management for subcontractor approval and bonding requirements, providing ongoing risk analysis.
- Coordinates project stakeholders, including subcontractors, owners, field teams, design teams, vendors, etc.
- Disseminates change requests for pricing and schedule input, evaluates subcontractor pricing, and prepares owner/architect change requests.
- Leads project meetings, including monthly reviews and progress meetings.
- Completes monthly subcontractor and owner pay applications.
- Prepares and updates project schedules, manages resources, and identifies potential impacts, facilitating mitigation plans.
- Provides documentation for decisions affecting project aspects like budget, schedule, legal, quality, and safety.
- Delivers regular project status reports and profitability analysis.
- Prepares monthly cost and margin forecasts, reviews costs, and highlights discrepancies.
- Leads project closeout processes, including punch lists, financials, warranties, etc., and interfaces with legal counsel as needed.
Additional Responsibilities - Senior Project Manager

- Understands preconstruction from conceptual to GMP development.
- Handles estimating, productivity analysis, and supports preconstruction discussions with clients.
- Oversees project team during estimate development, manages project risks, and helps develop business plans.
- Uses experience to identify problems and recommend solutions.
- Manages internal resources and engages in external relationship building.
- Reviews and approves expenses, negotiates project issues, and collaborates on marketing activities.
- Promotes diversity and inclusion within JE Dunn, ensuring policy implementation.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software like CMiC.
- Knowledge of construction management fundamentals, project processes, and relationship building.
- Ability to manage budgets, maximize profitability, and develop projects from start to finish.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; relevant experience considered in lieu.
- 10+ years construction management experience.
Working Environment & Benefits
- Valid driver's license required.
