Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Clinical Project Manager to lead cross-functional trial programs in early to late phase, with emphasis on study timelines, risk management and governance.

You will coordinate SET meetings, develop integrated project plans and dashboards, and drive timely issue resolution across Clinical Science, Biostatistics, Data Management, Regulatory Affairs, and QC/QA. SF Bay Area-based role with strong compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience facilitating governance meetings, managing timelines, and driving action items.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional programs across multiple clinical studies.
• Understanding of early-phase, clinical pharmacology, Phase 2/3 operations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Clinical Operations Study Leads and Oversight Directors to manage project management activities across multiple Phase 1/clinical pharmacology, Phase 2, and Phase 3 studies; align timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Create and maintain integrated project plans, timelines, risk registers, and action trackers; monitor milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables; escalate and drive timely issue resolution.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution with Clinical Science, Biometrics, Data Management, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Supply, Quality Assurance, Finance, and others.
• Lead governance: coordinate and facilitate Study Execution Team (SET) meetings, develop agendas, document decisions/actions, and run operational reviews and planning sessions.
• Oversee strategic initiatives (eTMF implementation/governance, AI initiatives, CDx workflows, SOP revisions, inspection readiness, CTMS/eTMF/dashboards systems implementations, process improvement/change).
• Develop standardized tools/templates, KPIs, dashboards/status reports, and support onboarding/training and continuous improvement.

Qualifications (required):

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (or related).


• 6–8+ years Clinical Project Management, or 8+ years Clinical Operations (with 6+ years Clinical Project Management in biotech).


• Proven experience managing complex cross-functional projects across multiple clinical studies/programs.


• Strong understanding of clinical trial operations (early-phase, clinical pharmacology, Phase 2, Phase 3).

Skills/Preferred:

• Experience facilitating governance meetings, managing timelines, and driving action items.


• Preferred experience with operational improvement/change management.


• Preferred: dashboards/exec reporting; tools (Smartsheet/Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office; GCP environment and systems (CTMS, eTMF, EDC).

Benefits/Compensation (as stated):

• Expected salary range (SF Bay Area): $181,000–$221,000; eligible for annual performance bonus.
