Senior Project Manager Civil Engineer - Public Works – Richardson, TX

We are seeking an experienced Professional Civil Engineer with 12+ years in public works, municipal roadway, drainage, detention, water/wastewater utility design, and/or utilities design for an immediate opening in our Richardson, TX office. The role involves managing design and construction for various public and private infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage systems, pipelines, civil site work, and public parks and trails. This position offers significant career development opportunities, including potential ownership in the firm.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee design and construction of infrastructure projects for the Public Works practice.
• Apply strong design and project management skills, with experience working with local entities.
• Lead and supervise professional engineers, engineers-in-training, and CAD designers with a high degree of autonomy.
• Manage design, plan production, client relations, and technical staff across practices and offices.
• Participate actively in professional organizations related to Public Works.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET-accredited equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Texas or transferable within 2 months.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in utility and public works design.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Experience in project scope and fee development, staffing, and proposal writing.
• Proven ability to train and mentor staff.
• Proficiency in project management, administration, and supervision.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and disciplines.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred.
