Job summary

Akaasa Technologies is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex Capital Markets and QTS initiatives. You will plan, direct, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget.

The role requires deep CM domain knowledge, SDLC expertise, and strong stakeholder engagement with Directors and MDs, with an onsite Cary, NC location and a 6-month duration.

Qualifications

• 8-9 years of project management experience.
• 3+ years in Capital Markets across IT or business.
• Experience managing large-scale ($5M+) initiatives.
• Strong understanding of SDLC.
• 2+ years with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Rally Central.
• Domain expertise in Rates, Credit, or Equities.
• Knowledge of Front-to-Back Capital Markets functions.
• Strong analytical, structured, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Experience working with Director- and MD-level stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Nice to have: Big Four consulting and/or PMP/PgMP certification.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to manage large-scale and complex strategic change and regulatory initiatives within Capital Markets (CM) and Quantitative & Technology Services (QTS).

The role involves planning, directing, and coordinating activities across cross-functional business and technology teams to ensure projects are delivered within approved timelines, scope, and budget. The candidate will work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders and ensure project deliverables align with Capital Markets and QTS strategic objectives.

Requirements

• 8 9+ years of Project Management experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Capital Markets across IT or business functions.

• Knowledge of Front-to-Back Capital Markets functions such as Front Office, Trade Capture, Pricing, Trading Risk/P&L, Operations, Product Control, Market Risk, or Credit Risk.
• Strong analytical, structured, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proven experience working with Director- and Managing Director-level stakeholders across IT and business.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
