HNTB Corporation in San Francisco, CA seeks a Senior Project Manager in Aviation Planning to lead multi-disciplinary teams on complex airport programs.

You will own project scope, budgets, schedules, and client relations, and mentor staff while delivering master plans, environmental permitting, and terminal modernization efforts. This role requires strong leadership, 12 years of relevant experience in planning or related fields, and a track record of successful project delivery.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Engineering, Geology, Biology, Environmental Science, Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field and 12 years relevant experience.
  • 4 years of successful management of projects.
  • Experience leading large teams inside and outside of HNTB using sub-consultants.
  • American Institute of Certified Planner (AICP), Registered Landscape Architect (RLA), Registered Architect (RA), Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)

HNTB’s National Aviation Planning + Environmental Planning Practice is currently seeking exceptionally qualified candidates for a Senior Project Manager in Aviation Planning. Successful candidate(s) will demonstrate an enthusiasm for aviation, solid critical thinking skills, and a desire to lead the multi-disciplinary workstreams that shape the airports of tomorrow. Positions are available in our San Francisco, CA office.

What You'll Do:
  • Responsible for development of the project scope and fee quotation and assists in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).

  • Serves as the primary client liaison and manages the project team to deliver the scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and to the client’s satisfaction. Leads client contract scoping and negotiations.

  • Leads and prepares design documents, technical plans, and written reports on projects.

  • Implements the firm’s project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project. Leads the development and the execution of the project management plan. Supervises and mentors team to overall project objectives.

  • Responsible for/oversees project staffing, including, but not limited to; recruitment, hiring, development, retention, and succession of project staff; development of plan for project staff reporting; and support for performance and compensation reviews.

  • Partners with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships and pursuit efforts for mega and super mega projects in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Sales Approach (SSA). Works with the project team and marketing resources to prepare appropriate proposal and presentation materials. Leads proposal development and interview presentations for mini-mega, mega or super mega projects to the client as well as general presentations within the industry and community.

  • May be responsible for the recruitment, hiring, development and retention of staff, including development of plan for staff reporting, performance and compensation reviews, and succession.

  • Typically responsible for management of project team(s) for one or more mini-mega ($1M to <$5M) projects or mega ($5M to < $25M) projects, or may lead or serve in a key discipline lead role on a super mega (> $25M) project management team.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Engineering, Geology, Biology, Environmental Science, Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field and 12 years relevant experience

  • 4 years of successful management of projects

What You'll Bring:
  • Winning, contracting, and successfully delivering 4for4 (on-time, on-budget, quality, client satisfaction) on multi-disciplined or large/complex projects. Identifying and handling risk and change management independently.

  • Leading large teams inside and outside of HNTB using sub-consultants.

  • Using system tools to manage, monitor, and deliver complex projects.

  • Leading HNTB Sophisticated processes as applicable to the project.

  • Serving as the lead interface with the client.

  • Deploying talent to other projects and developing successors to work with same client on other work.

What We Prefer:
  • Master's degree in Business, Project Management, Landscape Architecture, Planning, Urban Design or related field.

  • American Institute of Certified Planner (AICP), Registered Landscape Architect (RLA), Registered Architect (RA), Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)

  • 15 years relevant experience

The approximate pay range for the California San Francisco Bay Area is $188,125.20 - $300,511.68. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
