Job summary

STV is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Aviation to join our national aviation team, onsite in Washington, DC. You will lead cross-functional activities, manage budgets, and drive proposals, with a focus on aviation client satisfaction and profitability.

The role requires 15+ years in construction or project management, a relevant degree, and proven leadership capabilities. You will coordinate plans, permits, and regulatory compliance while guiding teams through project lifecycle in airport

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or similar.
• Minimum 15 years of construction and/or project management experience.
• Proven experience operating in a project management or leadership capacity.
• Ability to work independently in field environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of current technologies and tools used in project delivery.
• Experience managing construction in active/operational airport environments.

Responsibilities

• Organizes cross-functional activities for coordination of project deliverables, schedule and budget.
• Directs development of proposals, project initiation, execution/control and closeout; manages budgets and invoicing.
• Leads marketing, proposal preparation and presentations for project selection.
• Plans the complete project execution and develops the project manual.
• Schedules manpower vs. budget and manages scope, cost, quality and risk.
• Establishes contractor-client liaison to inform on progress.
• Monitors project from initiation through delivery and updates manpower.
• Forms project work team for assignment and execution of tasks per schedule.
• Submits documents for code compliance and permits as required.
• Holds progress meetings to ensure contract terms and specs are met.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state requirements and company policies.
• May select, supervise and develop personnel for efficient operation.

Job description

STV is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager - Aviation to join our national aviation team. This position will be supporting our aviation client onsite at Washington, D.C.

The Senior Project Manager’s overall objective is to build and maintain a positive client relationship, and to achieve or exceed the estimated profit margin for projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Organizes cross-functional activities, for coordination of project activities for the completion of the project (i.e., project deliverables, schedule and budget)

• Capable of managing and directing the development of proposals, project initiation, project execution/control and project closeout for planning, Environmental Impact Statements, design and/or construction projects, and is responsible for project budgets, extra work requests and invoicing

• Participates in, or leads project-specific marketing, proposal preparation and presentations for successful project selection

• Plans the complete project execution and develops the project manual

• Schedules and monitors manpower requirements against the project budget/spending performance, including managing activities related to project scope, schedule, cost, cash flow, quality, communications, coordination, manpower, discipline requirements, resources, procurement, and risk elements required to optimize client service, quality, and fiscal responsibility

• Establishes contractor-client liaison network to keep interested parties informed of project planning, start date, and work and budget progress

• Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including development, execution and updating project manpower

• Forms a project work team that meets regularly to coordinate responsibility for assignment and execution of tasks according to schedule

• Submits documents to Federal, state, and local authorities for code compliance review and submits documentation for the various permits applications as required

• Holds regularly-scheduled project progress meetings to review that the project contract’s terms, conditions, and specifications are being met

• Ensures project personnel adhere to federal and state regulatory requirements and company policies and manpower, equipment, materials, and quality procedures are recognized for timely intervention and resolution

• May select, supervise, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architectural, Construction Management or similar designation

• Minimum 15 years of construction and/or project management experience

• Proven experience operating in a project management or leadership capacity

• Ability to work independently and effectively in field environments

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Working knowledge of current technologies and tools used in project delivery

• This position is contingent upon client approval

• Experience managing construction in active/operational airport environments

Compensation Range:

$196,118.41 - $224,135.33
