Page & Turnbull is looking for a Senior Project Manager to enhance our team at an award-winning, 10 person, architecture branch office in downtown Los Angeles. This opening will provide the opportunity to use and build skills in architecture and historic preservation. The position offers exposure to a range of challenging projects.

Page & Turnbull is an architectural design, planning, and preservation firm that brings together architects, conservators, architectural historians, and planners in service of our country’s cultural resources. Our mission is: “imagining change in historic environments through design, research and technology.” Three studios comprise Page & Turnbull: Architecture, Cultural Resources Planning & Research, and Preservation Technology. Collectively, we balance historic character with adaptive reuse, objective historic evaluation with community involvement, and complex design solutions with technical understanding of historic materials and their conservation.

Position Overview: Responsible for planning, coordinating and administering a major project, or several small projects through all phases of development.

Additional duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Develop and manage project work plans, budgets, & schedules.

Prepare a variety of studies and reports, including, but not limited to: Existing Conditions Assessments; Feasibility Studies; Code Analysis; Historic Structure Reports; and HABS/HAER Drawings.

Provide project manager and/or project architect role on architecture projects, as prime or sub consultant.

Oversees design development and production of working drawings and construction documents.
Assumes responsibility for construction administration.
Has client contact and authority to direct, control and monitor all project activities.
Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to ensure proper office operation & project management flow.
Supervise/mentor junior staff.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

Minimum of seven years of architectural experience, at least three years as a Project Manager.

Ability to lead collaborative teams for large projects and work individually on smaller projects simultaneously.

Proven ability to manage clients and meet their expectations.

A proven record of delivering projects within an agreed to schedule and budget.

Historic preservation work experience is a plus.

Outstanding research, writing, proofreading and editing skills.

Communicative, self-motivated, enthusiastic, dependable and interested in growth.

Proficiency in: Revit, AutoCAD, BIM, Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in architecture. Master’s degree is a plus. California license is preferred.
