Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead all phases of medium voltage projects in the Electrification & Automation unit, with a hybrid work option in Wendell, NC and remote US possibilities. You will manage scope, schedule, cost and technical performance, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure milestones are met.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years' PM experience in power distribution, PMP certification, and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of experience in the power distribution industry managing medium voltage portfolios.
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office and specifically Microsoft Project.
  • 3+ year of working with multi-disciplinary teams, including program management, services, engineering, operations, and logistics.
  • Must have a valid US Driver’s License.
  • Must have a PMP certification.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and international).
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all phases of projects from inception through completion.
  • Manage the cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of the assigned project(s).
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Lead and drive multi-disciplinary and cross functional teams, including engineering, operations, vendor management, logistics and services to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide regular updates to team, management, and PMO on work performed, plans, budget, and overall status.
  • Identify project problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Proactive Risk identification and Mitigation.
  • Manage customer expectations across project cycle and lead single and multi-product medium voltage solutions projects.
  • Direct diagnostics with the ability to determine root cause and corrective actions.

Headquartered in Wendell, NC, the Electrification & Automation (E&A) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. Siemens (PMO) is looking for a Senior Project Manager (SPM).This position can be based remotely within the United States, with a preference for hybrid within the Wendell, NC area.

You’ll make an impact as you:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.
  • 5+ years of experience in the power distribution industry managing medium voltage portfolios.
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office and specifically Microsoft Project

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Project management or engineering internship or related work experience in Power distribution industry.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of power distribution; ability to read and understand basic electrical drawings and customer specifications.
  • Experience in identifying and implementing cost savings measures within project
  • Commitment to develop, drive, and manage projects in a highly competitive market
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to present complex issues to multi-level audiences and effectively communicate progress, status and issues to internal and external Customers
  • Ability to interpret and report results to senior management as well as customer
  • Demonstrated ability in contract and change management.

The pay range for this position is $111,282 - $130,662 annually with a target incentive of 5% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
