Job summary

Atimi is seeking an experienced Project Manager to coordinate client projects across mobile and web apps. You will manage scope, schedule, budgets, and AI-enhanced delivery, acting as the go-to for organization, timing, and resources.

Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage key client projects.

As a Project Manager, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results.

You will be the go‑to person for everything involving a project’s organization, budget and timeline. Including developing detailed project schedules, plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation and delivering every project on time within budget and scope. Essential to this role is a demonstrated use of AI in day‑to‑day project delivery.

The successful candidate will initially join as a Senior Project Manager, with promotion to Director of Project Management upon demonstrating the leadership and performance required to lead the department.

Responsibilities

• Manage each project’s scope and timeline, Including change management
• Create and manage project budgets and forecasts; identify variances early and drive corrective action to protect project profitability, balanced with client satisfaction
• Develop high level and detailed schedules
• Work with client product owners to prioritize backlogs and new requests
• Facilitate good relationships with clients; seek and win project expansions and extensions
• Collaborate with internal teams to design, develop and implement mobile and web applications
• Identify, manage and proactively resolve project risks
• AI‑assisted creation of project assets. Use AI to optimize the creation and maintenance of:
  • Project plans, work breakdown structures, milestones, dependencies, and release plans.
  • Risk, assumption, issue, and dependency registers.
  • Status reports, decision logs, and change requests.
• Use AI to help analyse delivery data, identify trends, explain variances, and draft actionable reporting.
• Build reusable prompts, templates, and workflows for planning, reporting, and risk reviews.
• Connect AI-supported workflows to project systems and documentation.
• Use approved AI tools and workflows, protect client and company information, and remain accountable for the accuracy and appropriateness of outputs; evaluate new tools and workflows
• Automate appropriate steps, such as drafting status reports from delivery data or extracting actions from approved meeting records.
• Recognize inaccurate outputs, missing dependencies, unrealistic estimates, and unsupported conclusions.
• Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from clients or stakeholders)
• Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur
• Help teams implement changes effectively
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each sprint
• Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it
• Seek opportunities for improvement and suggest new projects
• Help establish governance and a working PMO
• Demonstrate the ability to mentor project managers and help establish consistent planning, financial management, reporting and delivery practices across the department
• Develop, deliver, and evaluate client training on the practical use of AI in project management
• Proven work experience as a Project Manager using Software Development Life Cycle best practices
• 10+ years experience in Portfolio, Project, or Program Management
• Demonstrated use of at least one of ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft 365 Copilot to produce project plans, risk registers, status reports, and KPI definitions.
• Strong ability to use AI to build budget forecasts, resource plans, and KPI reporting; check formulas; and validate AI-generated analysis.
• Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, automated testing, backlog refinement)
• Good knowledge of Agile frameworks, waterfall, iterative project methodologies
• Experience managing projects involving AI, machine learning, data science or automation.
• Understanding of the AI/ML development lifecycle, including data preparation, model development, testing, deployment and monitoring.
• Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams, including software developers, data engineers, data scientists and ML engineers.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experience facilitating client workshops or delivering professional training
• Problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution ability
• Outstanding organizational skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project and similar products
• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business or similar field
• Formal Project Management Certification : PMP, Prince2, Agile Certified

Additional Preferred Requirements:

• Experience working on 10+ man year projects
• Experience in a scrum master role
• Reporting and visualisation experience using Power BI, Tableau or comparable tools
• Familiarity with TFS or Azure DevOps

The interview process for this position involves multiple stages that cover:

The interview process will also assess communication and client leadership, project delivery and commercial judgement, practical use of AI, and readiness to develop and lead the Project Management department.

About Salary and Compensation

The salary for this position is based on the Atimi Salary Grid, including both the Team Lead and Senior Lead position, ranges between $123,000 and $200,000 per annum and depends on the individual’s experience, geographical location, and performance during the interview.
