Job summary

Provident Credit Union is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Redwood City, CA to lead cross-functional business and technology projects from planning through implementation and transition to ongoing support.

You will partner with stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and leaders to define requirements, manage scope, coordinate testing, and deliver outcomes while aligning with Provident’s methodology and KPI framework.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of technology experience.
  • 8+ years of project management experience.
  • 5+ years of Credit Union or relevant financial experience.
  • 5+ years of business requirements gathering.
  • PMP certification within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business and technology projects from planning through implementation and transition to support.
  • Define requirements, manage scope, coordinate testing, and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Develop business requirements and leverage AI tools to enhance analysis and collaboration.
  • Ensure governance, KPI definition, and project standards are followed.
  • Manage vendor relationships and project documentation.

As the primary point of contact for project delivery, this role partners with business stakeholders, executive sponsors, IT teams, vendors, and organizational leaders to define requirements, manage scope, support solution design, coordinate testing, and deliver successful outcomes. Based on project needs, the Senior Project Manager may also develop business requirements and leverage artificial intelligence agents and tools to enhance analysis and collaboration, expand requirements, and reduce project risk. future-state business processes and identify opportunities for operational improvement and process optimization.Validate proposed solutions with stakeholders and confirm business needs, requirements, and project objectives have been addressed.Financial ManagementUnderstands cost-and-benefit analysis and basis revenue models.Understands basis project legal documents.Understands basis budgeting processesUnderstands Credit Union processes.CommunicationFacilitates team and client meetings effectively.Holds Kick-off, Retrospective, and regular status meetings with project team.Keeps project case development.Understand vendor contracts, project-related legal documents, and procurement processes.Working knowledge of Credit Union operations, products, services, and regulatory environment.Ability to monitor project expenditures and identify budget variances.Technical UnderstandingUnderstand software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and information technology
