Job summary

DH Pace Company, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Manager in Olathe, KS to lead construction projects from planning through completion.

You will plan, direct, and coordinate activities to ensure objectives are met on time and within budget, while balancing scope, staffing, and resources. Ideal candidates will have a strong track record in carpentry, drywall, or general construction, with proficiency in Excel and Word, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Project Management or Estimating experience within the construction industry preferred.
  • Must have Excel or other spreadsheet software and Word or Word Processing software experience.
  • Must have proven experience in a fast paced environment, juggling a lot of responsibility, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills are a must.
  • Must possess a Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure project objectives are met by specified date and within budget by effectively planning, directing, and coordinating activities.
  • Proven track record in successfully managing projects in carpentry, drywall or general construction desired.
  • Review project plans and specs to determine time frame, budget parameters, field staffing requirements and allotment of available resources for the various phases of the project.
  • Discuss and establish work plan outline with staff; assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority and provide technical advice/trouble-shooting.
  • Direct and coordinate activities to ensure project is on schedule and within budgeted scope; review status reports prepared by staff and make changes where needed.
  • Communicate with customers to develop sales opportunities and/or solve problems.
  • Work with submittals, permits, close outs, and ordering parts.
  • Responsible for financial success of projects
  • Additional company projects as assigned.
