Job summary

Coalesce Management Consulting (CMC) seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale capital projects for a leading electric utility in New Orleans. You will drive planning through execution, manage scope, schedule, budget, safety and quality, and report to executives.

The role requires 10+ years in utility project/construction management, strong scheduling and risk management, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams. PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of project management/construction management experience in utilities.
  • Experience leading large capital infrastructure or transmission & distribution projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, change management, and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful execution of capital projects.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budgeting, safety, quality, contracts, and overall performance.
  • Develop and execute Project Execution Plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional engineering, construction, procurement, finance, and project controls teams.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance.
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and stakeholder communication.
  • Support project closeout, commissioning, documentation, and turnover activities.
  • Mentor team members and provide project leadership.

Senior Project Manager – Utility Capital Projects

Coalesce Management Consulting (CMC) is actively hiring an experienced Senior Project Manager to support large-scale capital projects for a leading electric utility. This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex infrastructure projects that directly impact the reliability and modernization of the power grid while working alongside experienced engineering and construction professionals.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the successful execution of capital projects
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, contracts, and overall project performance.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive Project Execution Plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional engineering, construction, procurement, finance, and project controls teams.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide executive-level project reporting and communicate project status to key stakeholders.
  • Support project closeout, commissioning, documentation, and turnover activities.
  • Mentor project team members and provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of Project Management, Construction Management, or Utility industry experience.
  • Experience leading large capital infrastructure or transmission & distribution projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, change management, and risk management.
  • Ability to manage contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • PMP certification is a plus.
