Qualifications

  • 10+ years of project or program management experience leading complex cybersecurity, technology, product engineering, cloud, or enterprise infrastructure initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional programs with senior stakeholders, measurable outcomes, clear ownership, and executive-level visibility.
  • Proven background in cybersecurity, security engineering, or vulnerability management.
  • Experience supporting AI Security, secure AI adoption, AI-enabled vulnerability scanning, emerging technology risk management, or related security transformation efforts.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to turn technical program details into concise executive updates, decision materials, risk summaries, customer communication inputs, and leadership-ready reporting.
  • Ability to establish clear ownership, action tracking, dependency management, risk escalation, milestone governance, and measurable success metrics.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and executive reporting tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certification in Project Management, such as PMP, is highly desirable.
  • Cybersecurity certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or similar, are a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional planning and delivery for a high-visibility AI Security readiness program, ensuring clear scope, owners, milestones, dependencies, risks, success measures, and reporting cadence.
  • Coordinate delivery plans that improve rapid patching operations, increase vulnerability response capacity, support automation, and track service level objectives for critical, zero-day, and high-severity issues.
  • Support stronger product release decisions by helping teams define, track, and operationalize security gating requirements, escalation paths, governance reviews, and release readiness criteria.
  • Manage program activities related to AI-enabled vulnerability scanning, including pilots, onboarding plans, integration into development workflows, remediation tracking, and expansion across priority products, services, and environments.
  • Partner with Security, Legal, Marketing, and customer-facing teams to support approved messaging, frequently asked questions, sales guidance, and communication guardrails related to AI Security readiness.
  • Support security operations readiness by tracking staffing, training, automation, triage improvements, incident response alignment, and service level agreement impacts tied to increased AI-driven threat volume.
  • Maintain an integrated roadmap that sequences major milestones, resolves cross-team dependencies, highlights delivery risks, and supports leadership visibility into AI Security readiness progress.
  • Manage and optimize Jira, Confluence, and related collaboration tools to provide transparency, traceability, audit-ready evidence, and clear ownership.

Job Summary:

AI Security is a strategic priority as organizations expand the use of artificial intelligence across security operations, product development, cloud services, and enterprise technology. This role will lead delivery of a cross-functional AI Security readiness program focused on faster vulnerability response, stronger product release controls, secure use of AI-driven scanning, improved software supply chain practices, customer-ready communications, and scalable security operations.

The Senior Project Manager will coordinate delivery of AI Security capabilities that improve patching speed, strengthen release decisions, expand AI-enabled vulnerability scanning, mature third-party software controls, support approved customer communications, and prepare security teams for increased AI-driven threat volume. This role requires strong program management experience, cybersecurity fluency, and the ability to align technical, operational, compliance, and executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate can manage complex dependencies, simplify ambiguity, drive accountable execution, and maintain visibility into progress, risks, decisions, service level objectives, and business impact.

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position: Min:$63/Hr Mid:$83/Hr Max:$105/Hr
