GENERAL SUMMARY

This position is responsible for managing significant, company-wide projects by applying professional project management principles, practices, and techniques to lead project teams and control project schedule, cost, and performance risks. This role has ultimate responsibility for the design, testing, planning and implementation of complex projects to meet the goals and priorities of the organization.

This position will be with Stratacor, an affiliate of Delta Dental of Minnesota.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Partners with clients and key stakeholders to define requirements, establish priorities and commit to realistic delivery dates.
  • Oversees complete project lifecycle planning, risk resolution and progress reporting for audiences up to the executive level.
  • Directs implementation teams to achieve rigorous standards for quality, service excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Leads cross-regional, cross-functional teams (IT and business unit areas) to develop/implement new business initiatives.
  • Ensures team execution directly aligns with business plan objectives and corporate strategy.
  • Coordinates efforts with other members of the management team in developing short and long-term plans and goals that result in high performance and customer service.
  • Serves as a key partner to senior management in shaping strategic direction and guiding major initiatives.
  • Aligns cross-departmental capabilities to deliver seamless solutions for internal and external customers.
  • Facilitates the integration of new products into existing or new business operations.
  • Drives end-to-end project development including feasibility assessment, ROI modeling, requirements gathering, design, rollout and support.
  • Keeps abreast of all system enhancements and changes that impact the implementation efforts and communicates impacts to the implementation team and management, as appropriate.
  • Ensures process compliance with corporate implementation strategies and initiatives (policies, procedures, and tools).
  • Coordinates end-to-end operational workstreams impacted by new product launches.
  • Recommends means to control expenses and increase profitability.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of project management experience
  • Five (5) years of managing increasingly complex projects
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
PREFERRED
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • Knowledge of dental and/or health insurance
  • Experience managing projects in a healthcare environment
  • Project Management Profession (PMP) and/or Six Sigma Certificates
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal
  • Weight Lifting Requirements: up to 20 pounds
  • Sedentary Work: Prolonged periods of sitting at a workstation while working at a computer

The starting salary range for this position is between $93,000 and $116,00 annually. Salary offers will typically be made in the listed range. The Company takes into consideration a candidate's education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including merit process and internal pay alignment when determining the salary for potential new team member's. In compliance with state and federal regulations, a potential new team member's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
