Job summary

Delta Dental of Minnesota seeks a Senior Web Developer to advance cloud-based applications built with Angular and Node.js, and to extend the middle tier using C# and .NET Core in a Docker-based microservices environment.

You will collaborate with the Manager of Web Development, VP IT, and business partners to deliver high-quality software aligned with user needs and business goals, while mentoring junior developers and ensuring robust CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Angular.
• 5+ years of Docker and Docker Swarm.
• 5+ years C# and .Net Core.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (SQL, Mongo).
• Strong front-end (JavaScript, TypeScript) and back-end proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools, applications, and APIs by producing clean and efficient code.

General Summary

This Senior Web Developer will share responsibility for our cloud-based applications written in Angular, Node.js and will be responsible for extending the capabilities of our middle tier utilizing C#, .Net Core, in microservices environment using Docker containers. As a Senior Web Developer, you will work closely with the Manager of Web Development, the VP of IT, EPMO and business partners on business and technical requirements to support the delivery of optimized Web applications for our customers. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills. Your goal will be to develop high-quality software that is aligned with user needs and business goals.

This position will be with Stratacor, an affiliate of Delta Dental of Minnesota.

Essential Functions

Required:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong communication and problem-solving experience
• Experience delivering software using an Agile/Scrum methodology
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, fluid environment while maintaining adherence to standards and best practices
• Solid understanding of version control, CI/CD code review practices
• Ability to breakdown complex problems and deliver pragmatic solutions.

Preferred:

Required:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.); and/or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of Angular
• 5+ years of Docker and Docker Swarm
• 5+ years C# and .Net Core
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (i.e., SQL, Mongo)
• Strong front-end (i.e., java script, type script) and modern frameworks, and back-end proficiency

Preferred:

• Experience with Node j.s.
• Experience with databases, APIs, and cloud infrastructure (i.e., Jenkins, Azure, Aws)
• Experience with AI workflows

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time
• Weight Lifting Requirements: Normal office work up to 20 lbs.
• Sedentary Work: Prolonged periods of sitting at a workstation while navigating a computer

The starting salary range for this position is between $93,000 and $116,000 annually. Salary offers will typically be made in the listed range. Salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
