Wisconsin Department of Health Services seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead complex initiatives across divisions, ensuring tight coordination of scope, schedule, and budget. The role requires adapting best-practice methodologies and guiding teams to successful outcomes.
You will report to the Division of Enterprise Services, work remotely up to five days per week, and join a program with strong governance. A probationary period is included and requirements include PMP certification.
The Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Enterprise Services (DES), Bureau of Information Technology Services (BITS), is recruiting for a Senior Project Manager.
This position has the ability to work remotely up to 5 days per week but will be required to report to the 201 E. Washington Ave office in downtown Madison on occasion to complete training and certain tasks, or due to operational need.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating project management activities related to DHS priority initiatives and projects utilizing best practice project management methodology and tools. You will be responsible for performing complex analysis and providing advice to customers, managers, and staff in the area of business process improvement. This position also provides advice and assistance to the DES leadership, and to other division administrators and DHS leaders on issues of department-wide importance and/or of priority to specific divisions
The starting pay is between $51.39 and $59.28 per hour (approximately between $106,900 and $123,300 per year), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required.
Pay for current or former employees is based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is classified as an IS Business Automation Consultant Administrator and is in pay schedule/range 07/32.

Employees must have access to secure high-speed internet for remote work option. Mileage reimbursement to the employee’s headquarter location is not provided.Remote work flexibility will be discussed in more detail during the interview process.
For positions that allow remote working flexibility, working outside of Wisconsin or in bordering cities will not be allowed except in extremely limited circumstances due to the need to report to an office location in Wisconsin on short notice.
