Job summary

MVE + Partners, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee all architectural aspects of project development, from design through construction documents and specifications. This role manages multiple project teams (3-4+ projects), establishes objectives, and ensures deliverables are on schedule and budget.

You will be responsible for client relationships, mentoring staff, and contributing to business development activities. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of architecture experience, be a licensed architect in California, and have multifamily residential project experience.

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee all architectural aspects of project development, from design through construction documents and specifications. This role manages multiple project teams simultaneously (typically 3-4+ projects), establishes project objectives, and ensures deliverables are completed on schedule and budget. You will lead client relationships, mentor staff, and contribute to business development activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish project objectives and specify strategies to achieve deliverables outlined in scope
• Lead, direct, and coordinate team members and consultants from inception through completion
• Manage project teams, assign and mentor staff, and make authoritative project decisions
• Monitor time and budget using Deltek, advising Leadership as required

Client Relations & Business Development

• Establish and facilitate client and internal meetings; manage client relationships
• Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance
• Contribute to proposals, RFPs, charrettes, design competitions, and business development
• Maintain awareness of project schedules, fees, budgets, and pricing strategy

Technical & Documentation

• Review and prepare construction documents for accuracy across all disciplines
• Write and edit architectural specifications; coordinate legal parameters with owners
• Apply working knowledge of MEP systems and codes (IBC, CBC, ADA, Title 24, BOMA)
• Manage construction administration including RFIs, RFPs, change orders, and submittals

Qualifications

Required

• Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
• Licensed Architect in California
• Multifamily residential project experience
• 15+ years of experience in a professional architecture office
• Advanced proficient in Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills

Preferred

• NCARB Certified
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and large teams
