Fairchild Communication Systems, Inc., a technology systems integrator, is hiring a Project Manager in Indianapolis, IN.

OPPORTUNITY:

As a Project Manager on our dynamic team, you will be responsible for overall communication and completion of assigned projects. Utilizing your organization and your documentation and process system skills, you will coordinate installations with customers and maintain and improve the project profitability. You will be responsible for all aspects of each project from turn-over to completion including material acquisition, scheduling, coordination, invoicing and contract fulfillment. Reporting to the Director of Operations, tap into your motivation to manage all the details of projects with your high level of performance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Plan, organize, and staff communication system construction projects to ensure that projects are completed profitably, on time, and exceed customer expectations.
Process project-specific paperwork and work with administration to ensure timely billing to customers.
Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials, supplies, services, and controls.
Serve as the Team Leader for the Lead Installation Technicians assigned to your projects.
Participate in annual field performance review process while conducting effective employee performance reviews and maintaining employee relations.
Provide monthly information to determine labor and material requirements and projections.
Identify and generate new business by networking, establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
Coordinate and process job change orders while monitoring job status and controls job costs.
Visit various jobsites while interacting with crews, customers, foreman, and general contractors.
Provide feedback and direction to direct reports on projects while organizing them into a productive team.
Keep accurate job records including work in progress, forecasting, and job expenses in job management software.
Attend weekly and monthly Staff, PM, and Sales meetings.

SUCCESS FACTORS:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering is preferred, or equivalent training or experience.
Prior experience in the systems integration trade as a lead installer is helpful.
Open to experienced Project Managers from the mechanical, electrical or plumbing industries.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable, and highly organized.
Superior customer service skills with internal and external customers.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and loves organizing details.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
Knowledge of AIA documentation preferred.
Able to demonstrate planning, organizing, and implementing skills.
Strong capabilities to read and effectively interpret general business documentation.
Valid and current driver’s license with the ability to travel to jobsites 25%-50% mostly within central Indiana territory.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
