Overview

HORUS Technology Solutions is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team as the Project Manager for one of our government contracts responsible for creating, delivering and maintaining enterprise technology solutions for our client.

Position is primarily remote with onsite meetings with the client as needed in Frederick, MD. Onsite meetings are likely to be once or twice per week.

The Project Manager interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, executive stakeholders, and vendors. If you are looking for a rewarding position that will make a significant contribution to your success and growth, look no further.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including taking projects from original concept through final implementation.
  • Creating project plans, roadmaps, risk registers, status reports, etc. to communicate and manage client priorities using PMBOC best practices for Project Management.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and cross-functional groups, including developers, business analysts, quality assurance testers, operations, project managers, and client business partners
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and project deliverables.

A top candidate would be very client focused and be proactive in identifying issues and risks, and work with the client and the team to be a trusted advisor. Another challenge is maintaining an excellent level of current operational support while planning and integrating new enhancements and technologies.

Qualifications
  • Management or Technical Bachelor\'s Degree
  • 10+ years of Project Management experience with an active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience with Project Management of a Government contract with at least 40 team members is desired.
  • Exceptional technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated experience in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms for Government Cost-Plus Fixed Fee contracts.
  • Direct experience in managing multi-task contracts and subcontracts of various types and complexity
  • Experience with Agile practices including SCRUM, Kanban, etc.
  • Expert with Microsoft Office tools including Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel
  • Experience with issue tracking and collaboration tools including JIRA, Slack, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, etc.
  • Experience managing Authority to Operation (ATO) processes for FISMA moderate systems
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet schedules and deadlines, to multi-task, to plan, organize and prioritize work assignments and pay close attention to detail.
