Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee multiple transportation and waste disposal projects, develop proposals, track schedules, and coordinate with drivers, subcontractors, and clients daily, ensuring scope is met.

You will enforce health and safety policies, lead site visits, manage budgets and scheduling, build lasting customer relationships, participate in bid walks, and mentor other project managers while upholding OSHA/HAZWOPER standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree required in science/engineering fields
  • Five years relevant experience; or equivalent combination
  • OSHA 10/30 and/or HAZWOPER with refreshers

Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow health and safety policies and achieve high safety/compliance on all projects
  • Attend bid walks, discuss scope, develop proposals, ensure contracts before starting, manage execution, track schedule, provide billing support, monitor customer satisfaction
  • Develop detailed work orders 2–3 days before start
  • Discuss scope with Drivers or Subcontractors
  • Kick-off new projects in the field and perform site visits regularly
  • Maintain active communication with Client and Drivers
  • Identify site-specific hazards and mitigate before/during project
  • Achieve overall customer satisfaction with health, safety, performance, costing and schedule
  • Maintain superior safety/compliance records on all projects
  • Build relationships with customers and grow sales revenue
  • Manage projects to budgeted profitability and high customer satisfaction
  • Participate in scheduling/coordination meetings and industry events
  • Practice conflict resolution and maintain professional environment
  • Perform field visits and work with Drivers; develop JSA’s and Work Orders
  • Provide 24-hour emergency response for customers

About The Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will effectively manage multiple transportation and waste disposal projects at a time, developing proposals, tracking schedules, communicating with drivers/subcontractors/clients daily, performing some client development, and supporting other Account Managers with project opportunities.

Position Responsibilities
  • Understand and follow company health and safety policies and achieve a high level of safety and compliance on all projects.
  • Attending bid walks, discussing project scope of work with clients, developing project proposals, ensuring contractual agreement is in place before starting projects, managing project execution, tracking schedule, offering project execution support, billing support, and monitoring customer satisfaction.
  • Development of detailed work orders for each project 2 to 3 days prior to the scheduled start date.
  • Discuss the project scope of work with the Drivers or Subcontractors.
  • Personally, kick-off new projects in the field and perform site visits on a regular basis.
  • Active communication with Client and Drivers
  • Assist with identifying site-specific health and safety hazards and actively work to mitigate hazards both before the start of a project and during project execution.
  • Achieve overall customer satisfaction with project health and safety, performance, costing, and schedule.
  • Achieve a superior safety and compliance record on every project under management.
  • Build productive relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Maintain and grow sales revenue from assigned/new accounts.
  • Manage all projects to budgeted profitability and with a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Actively participate in scheduling and coordination meetings.
  • Attend industry networking events.
  • Effectively perform conflict resolution (internally and externally).
  • Effectively manage personal work hours to complete required work assignments for internal company tasks, client objectives, and project support. Participate in maintaining a professional, respectful, and courteous work environment towards coworkers, subcontractors/vendors, Clients, and the general public.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, HAZWOPER regulations, and Company policies.
  • Work cohesively with other project team members and effectively communicate up, down, and across the organization.
  • Effectively follow the company’s Project Management process.
  • Expected to teach and offer guidance to Employees and other Managers.
  • Perform field visits and work directly with Driver as required. This may be assigned more frequently at the beginning to develop a relationship and rapport with field staff.
  • Capable of developing JSA’s and Work Orders with high level of accuracy.
  • 24-hour Emergency Response responsibilities for Customers.
Position Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Environmental, Construction, or Engineering
  • Five (5) years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid OSHA 10-hr and/or OSHA 30-hr, 40-hr HAZWOPER, with current 8-hr refresher
Preferred Qualifications
  • Water Treatment and/or Solidification experience
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification; CHMM certification (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager)

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $100,400.00 - $133,500.00 USD per annum
