Job summary

V Group Inc. is seeking an Enterprise Project Manager for a 12+ month contract with the State of South Carolina, located at 1801 Main Street, Columbia, SC. The role is hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote) and pays $85 per hour on a W-2 basis.

Responsibilities include requirements gathering, planning, risk management, and stakeholder reporting across multiple business units and vendors. The candidate will engage with the CIO team on high-priority projects for SCDHHS and must have PMI

Qualifications

• PMI Certification is required.
• 3+ years of experience in project management.
• 3+ years of project management experience in a healthcare insurance IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing business requirements.
• Build a project plan and execute to that plan.
• Manage project risks and issues.
• Ensure all deliverables and activities are completed with high quality and on time.
• Report project status and strategies orally and in writing.
• Interact with staff, management and vendors for project plans, metrics and documentation.
• Embed in the business to understand project details beyond just scheduling.

Rate - $85 W2 Hourly

Note: Working for the Chief Information Officer (CIO) or designee, the Project Manager (PM) will be assigned to high-priority projects for the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS), the Medicaid Agency for SC. The PM will interact with multiple business units and vendors. Candidates who enjoy working on complex, change-oriented projects will find this position attractive.

Responsibilities

• Assists with developing business requirements;
• Building a project plan and executing to that plan;
• Managing project risks and issues;
• Ensuring that all deliverables and activities are completed with high quality and in a timely fashion;
• Reporting on project status and strategies orally and in writing;
• Other related duties as assigned.
• The Project Manager will interact with staff, other team members, all levels of management and internal and external organizations, including vendors performing outsourced work, in the compilation and management of information needed for project plans, portfolio/program plans, metrics, reports and project management documentation.
• A successful project manager in this role will embed themselves in the business being managed in order to understand the details of the projects, not just management of a project schedule.

Required Skills

• PMI Certification

• 3+ years of project management experience in a healthcare insurance information technology environment
