E-J Group in Poughkeepsie, NY, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute electrical projects within budget and schedule. You will oversee project teams, communicate with clients and vendors, and ensure safety and quality standards across all phases.

The role requires leading project meetings, managing documentation, schedules, and costs while delivering successful outcomes for high-profile clients in the Hudson Valley region.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of project manager experience, including projects over $30M.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Emque, Riskcast, Toric.
• Tech-forward with ability to learn, use, and teach multiple platforms.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail.
• Strong business acumen in project planning and management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Practical knowledge of construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate project team performance and provide coaching.
• Define roles and manage project staff including assistant project managers, field engineers, project engineers, and administrative assistants.
• Ensure accurate project documentation (shop drawings, progress reports, submittal/RFI/correspondence logs, monthly billing, closeout docs).
• Attend and run project meetings with clients, architects, engineers and stakeholders.
• Address project-related issues, conflicts, or delays promptly and effectively.
• Create and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Create and maintain accurate project financial reports including projections.
• Maintain project documentation and progress logs, RFIs, submittals, billing, and manpower forecasts.
• Identify, estimate, prepare, and negotiate change orders.
• Develop comprehensive project budgets, monitor costs, and implement cost-saving measures.
• Liaise with field supervision.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate will plan, coordinate, and execute projects within the estimated budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, and project team members. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage projects and project staff from inception to completion. The successful candidate will coordinate and supervise all electrical aspects of the projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and the quality standards of E-J. As a Senior Project Manager at E-J, you will collaborate with various teams, communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, and play a crucial role in delivering successful electrical projects for our esteemed clients.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

• Evaluate project team performance, providing feedback, coaching, and training
• Define roles and responsibilities for and manage required project staff including assistant project managers, field engineers, project engineers, and administrative assistants.

• Maintain accurate project documentation including progress reports, submittals, RFIs, correspondence logs, monthly billing, manpower forecasts and project closeout documents, etc.

Salary Range

$150k-$175k/year
