Job summary

Clark Construction Group seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee the administrative and technical management of projects. You will be the project’s primary point of contact, steering tasks such as contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, and scheduling on water/wastewater facilities.

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; graduate degree a plus.
  • 5-9+ years construction experience; general contractor on water/wastewater facilities highly preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to develop owner/subcontractor relationships.
  • Experience leading and supervising teams; self-motivated and ethical.
  • DBIA and LEED accreditation a plus.

Job description

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the administrative and technical management of Clark projects. The Senior Project Manager functions as the point person for the project and steers the project forward. Successful candidates will be able to share their passion for and dedication to getting the job done.ResponsibilitiesSupervise all activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, and schedule.Have thorough knowledge of company’s contracts and understanding of all parties involvedSecure all required permits and verify insurance coverage for subsSchedule and facilitate all project meetings required to successfully coordinate work activitySupervise and manage project team membersTrain and develop direct reports utilizing on the job and internal and external training or development opportunitiesHave thorough knowledge of all major project issues and priorities; prepare and submit monthly job status reportsProvide general administrative and technical leadership for the project. Maintain all project records and monitor correspondenceSupervise close out of projectDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with counterparts at owner and engineering firmsParticipate in proposals and presentations as requestedBasic QualificationsUndergraduate degree required in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field or relevant experience. For this role the base salary range is $110,000 - 225,000. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. You can expect to be on your feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. The work is physically demanding and requires a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling, and reaching. You’ll need to be comfortable frequently lifting and carrying materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively, as well as visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work. The role does include desk time in the office that may require prolonged periods of sitting for tasks like computer work, document review, and meetings.Your Work Environment: You’ll spend a significant amount of your time on active construction sites, which means being adaptable to all kinds of weather and moderate to loud noise levels, and comfortable in elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment and with the fast-paced nature of a project in progress. You will also spend time in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels.
