Job summary

Arcadis in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Senior Project Manager with water and wastewater engineering expertise to lead complex municipal projects from concept through construction.

You will mentor teams, manage client expectations, and help grow the practice through proposals and strategic partnerships, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field).
• 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Master’s degree preferred; PE license highly desirable.

Senior Project Manager – Water/Wastewater Engineering

Arcadis is searching for a Senior Project Manager with water/wastewater engineering experience to join the Resilience Water Team in Buffalo, New York.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities, distribution and collection systems, and pump/lift stations.
• Serve as the Project or Design Manager, directing projects from concept through completion.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding needs, managing expectations, and delivering high‑quality solutions.
• Mentor and lead project teams, fostering professional growth and ensuring technical excellence.
• Contribute to business growth through proposal development, strategic partnerships, and positioning for future opportunities; travel as needed to support project delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (or a related field).
• 10 years of relevant engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a related engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Experience in municipal water/wastewater design and construction management.
