Role

This is a full-time remote position with potential for onsite visits in Olympia, WA. The Senior Project Manager oversees comprehensive project management throughout the project lifecycle, including system implementations, upgrades, and software integrations. Multiple projects may run concurrently.

Minimum Project Management Responsibilities

• Collaborate remotely with client teams, stakeholders, and steering committees, with onsite visits as needed in Olympia, WA
• Develop project charters defining scope and governance
• Maintain and update project schedules
• Create communication plans for clear messaging during implementation
• Establish and improve work plan processes and controls
• Develop and oversee resource plans
• Create and monitor risk and issue management plans
• Ensure quality assurance and control
• Manage project teams and vendor performance
• Maintain stakeholder relationships
• Develop and control project budgets and spending plans
• Provide regular status reports to clients and leadership
• Implement tools and resource plans to support project goals

Project Plan and Schedules

• Address key planning areas using PMI best practices
• Utilize existing templates and client processes where applicable
• Ensure plans include issue, risk, communication, budget, schedule, resource, and stakeholder management
• Develop detailed, realistic work plans with task dependencies, resource assignments, and deliverables

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or comparable experience
• Project Management Certification (PMP) from PMI
• Willingness to work remotely with onsite visits in Olympia, WA
• At least 5 years managing technology projects
• At least 5 years of project management experience

Desired Skills

• Over 5 years managing large, complex, high-visibility projects
• Experience working with Washington State agencies
• Experience applying Agile methodologies
• Experience in government IT project management, particularly Washington State
• Experience in procurement and contract management
