Job description

Trusted Fraternal Life (TFL) is one of the largest fraternal benefit societies in the United States, serving more than 200,000 members with nearly $3 billion in assets. Through our family of brands, we help members build financial security while strengthening their communities.

We are on a journey to become the leading next‑generation fraternal, serving more members, across more communities, with greater impact.

About This Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in bringing TFL’s most important strategic priorities to life. As Senior Project Manager, you’ll lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives that drive organizational growth, operational excellence and modernization.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who can bring structure and clarity to complex work, connect the dots across multiple initiatives and stakeholders, and keep teams moving toward meaningful business outcomes. You’ll partner closely with leaders, business teams, technology partners and external resources to translate strategy into action, navigate competing priorities and dependencies, and ensure the work delivers results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution and delivery of complex, cross‑functional strategic and transformation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program and project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, budgets, resources, dependencies and success measures.
  • Establish governance and decision‑making processes that create transparency, accountability and forward momentum.
  • Coordinate multiple workstreams while ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and strategic priorities.
  • Translate strategic priorities into executable plans that achieve measurable business outcomes.
  • Build trusted relationships across the organization and facilitate executive steering committees, governance meetings and decision‑making forums.
  • Provide senior leaders with clear visibility into progress, key decisions, risks, dependencies and recommendations.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions and constraints, developing practical mitigation and escalation plans.
  • Partner with vendors, consultants, implementation partners and system providers to ensure successful delivery of program objectives.
  • Partner with leaders to support organizational readiness, communication, training and change efforts associated with transformation initiatives.
  • Monitor progress against milestones, budgets and success measures and ensure initiatives deliver intended business value and measurable results.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of project, program, transformation or related leadership experience.
  • Experience within life insurance, annuities, financial services or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives with significant business impact.
  • Experience supporting large‑scale business transformation, system implementation, integration, conversion, product launch, modernization or policy administration platform initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, communication, relationship‑building and problem‑solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions, navigate competing priorities and drive accountability across teams without direct authority.
  • Experience working effectively with senior leaders, business stakeholders, vendors and external partners.
  • PMP, PgMP, Agile or similar certifications are a plus.
Success in This Role

Success requires a builder and a doer. This person should be equally comfortable helping shape an approach, creating structure where it may not yet exist, navigating complexity and driving work through execution. The role requires strong business judgment, curiosity and agility, along with the ability to connect the dots across initiatives, stakeholders and competing priorities. This person brings clarity and momentum to complex work, builds trusted relationships and stays focused on delivering meaningful business outcomes.

Why Join TFL?

Join a mission‑driven organization where you can make a real impact. This role provides the opportunity to help shape our technology future, build team capabilities, influence enterprise initiatives, and contribute to a transformational period of growth and change.
